Optical Subassemblies
Optical subassemblies bridge the gap between individual components and fully integrated optical systems.
Astravon supports the assembly of optical elements into functional subunits, providing controlled integration where stability, repeatability, and interface definition are required.
Optical Subassemblies
We typically support the assembly of optical elements into functional subunits, intended for integration into larger optical instruments or systems.

Product Line Cards
1. Lens Groups (Doublets / Triplets)
Multi-element lens groups assembled to defined optical spacing and alignment for use within larger optical systems.
2. Beamsplitter Units
Beamsplitter elements integrated into fixed mechanical mounts, providing stable optical separation or combination.
3. Dome & Window Subassemblies
Optical domes and windows assembled with mounting interfaces, designed for environmental protection and optical transmission.
4. Mounted Mirror Subassemblies
Fixed mirror elements integrated into mechanical mounts for stable positioning within optical layouts.
5. Filter Stack & Holder Assemblies (Available on request)
Multiple optical filters assembled into fixed stacks or holders, configured upon request to meet system-level requirements.
6. Passive Pre-Aligned Optical Units
Optical subassemblies delivered in a fixed alignment state, where relative positioning is established during assembly without active adjustment mechanisms.
Typical Assembly Capabilities
Typical capabilities for optical subassembly integration are outlined below. Final specifications are defined according to system-level requirements.
More stringent alignment tolerances can be supported for mission-specific optical configurations.

Scope & Boundaries
Astravon’s optical subassemblies are provided as building blocks for higher-level integration.
System-level performance, active alignment, and qualification activities are addressed at subsequent integration stages or under separate agreements.

Conventional spherical and rotationally symmetric aspherical lenses are addressed under Refractive Optics due to distinct manufacturing and inspection regimes.
